Update to Windows 10 Wh at the heck is the Windows. It has programs since update ? Please explain that logic and how these programs are accessed or if they are accessed at all. Also, my video files are all gone, including simple.
And, my pictures directory has either been moved, hidden or wiped from directory assignment because my backup and sync programs cannot find it. Is there any way to uninstall this update? And if we do go back to the earlier update, I understand that in a month we are forced to go with this It is a mess. And oh yeah - the sound comes and goes and well.

I have the same question 5. Report abuse. Details required :. Cancel Submit. If you have 20 years of data saved, just disconnect the backup drive or cloud backups so it cannot be touched by anything you do. You should by now have several backups, including a hard copy on external drive on site and one or more cloud backups to keep the files safe from fire or theft.
Then when ready you can simply open OneDrive and set it back up. If your account cannot start then sometimes Windows will start into a Temporary account, which you will know because you'll not recognize anything and it should notify you it's doing this. If not then I'll have other steps for you. If not then if you want to Clean install I would do it with the latest version while you have me to help, and because most of the problems with an Upgrade install don't repeat in Clean Install.
Uncheck the box for Recommended Settings to choose the exact version and bit rate for the target PC only. Choose the boot device as a UEFI device if offered, skip the Product Key screen and choose your licensed version only if offered.
On second screen choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install - this makes it foolproof. You will get and keep the best possible install to the exact extent you stick with the steps, tools and methods in the linked tutorial.
It's a better install than any amount of money could buy and a great learning experience that will make you the master of your PC because you will learn everything that works best and how to apply it with your own hands. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
